  108.  GRADE BOOK POWER allows the use of either two-9 week or 3-6 week terms
  109.  per semester.  Many special options included for both elementary and
  110.  secondary teachers.  Creates over 30 different reports.  Individual
  111.  progress reports for students/parents include assignment date, title,
  112.  points possible, points earned, letter grade, category averages,
  113.  grading trend, personal & general comments, absences, tardies, and
  114.  missing assignments, optional parent signature, grade override,
  115.  weighting, low test throw out option, grading scale, optional semester

  119.  QUICK START (for those that don't like to read the manual)
  120.  1. Make a subdirectory called grades  Type MD GRADES and enter.
  121.  2. Change to GRADES subdirectory.     Type CD GRADES and enter.
  122.  3. Copy files to the subdirectory.    Type COPY A:*.* and enter.
  123.  4. Start the program the first time by typing GRADES /INSTALL
  124.  5. Enter Y FOR Yes to start a new school year.
  125.  6. Answer the other four questions when displayed.
  126.     a. Drive (and optional subdirectory) to contain student data
  127.     b. Enter the School Year (like 1995-96)
  128.     c. Enter number of quarters (terms) per semester (2 or 3)
  129.     d. Enter the starting quarter (term) number (1 to 6)
  130.  7. Go to the SET-UP MENU.
  131.  8. Save the Settings on the SET-UP MENU.
  132.  9. Enter your class names on the NAMES MENU.
  133. 10. Enter your student names on the NAMES MENU.
  134. 11. All Menu options are now available.
  135. 12. If you like the program and want to continue using
  136.     GRADE BOOK POWER, you must register and send payment.

  148. Differences between Evaluation and Registered Versions:
  149. The evaluation version allow entry of up to 17 grades per student per
  150. class.  The registered version allows 60 grades.  The registered version
  151. may also include additions to this program since the release of this
  152. evaluation version.

  176. DIRECTIONS FOR COPYING TO THE HARD DISK USING WINDOWS
  177.  1. Go to FILE MANAGER
  178.     On the left side of the screen you should see C:\
  179.     with the directories listed under the C:\ symbol.
  180.  2. Place the mouse pointer on the C:\ symbol and click once.
  181.     C:\ should now be highlighted.
  182.  3. Click on the File Menu.
  183.  4. Click on Create Directory
  184.     You should see a box Create Directory.
  185.     At Name type C:\GRADES  Click OK.
  186.     If you scroll down the left side of the screen,
  187.     you should see the new directory GRADES
  188.  5. Place the GRADEBOOK POWER diskette in drive A:
  189.  6. Click on the A: Drive Icon (under the Title Bar).
  190.     You should see a directory for the files on the disk listed.
  191.  7. Click on the File Menu.  A menu will drop down.
  192.  8. Click on Select Files.  A window will appear.
  193.  9. Click on Select.  Lines will appear around the file names,
  194. 10. Click on Close.  The file names will appear to be colored in.
  195. 11. Click on File.  A menu will drop down.
  196. 12. Click on Copy.  A window will appear.
  197.     In the box following TO: type C:\GRADES
  198. 13. Click OK
  199. 14. You can start Gradebook Power from FILE MANAGER
  200.     On the left side of the screen you should see C:\
